body odor problem
Body odor and bad breath is a problem that often affects a person's self-confidence. Many things affect the onset of body odor such as a particular diet, sex, occupation, mood, genetics and drug consumption.

This time I want to discuss the problem of body odor caused by food. The following are foods you should limit to prevent body odor and bad breath :

1. Spices
Spices with a strong aroma when ingested generally will produce sulfur gas that is absorbed by the blood and eliminated through the lungs and skin pores. This causes bad breath and body odor. Examples of these foods are garlic, onion, and curry.

2. Red meat
It took a long time to digest red meat. When food is not digested properly, toxic and malodorous gas is released which is the cause of the smell of sweat. A study published by the Chemical conclude, women judge a man who doesn't eat red meat more fun, more interesting, and have less body odor problems than men who eat red meat.

3. Alcohol & Caffeine
Although the consumption of alcohol and caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate, soda, etc.) has become a habit, by limiting the drink, your body will feel more fresh and odorless.

4. Processed Foods & Junk Food
Consumption of processed food that is too much salt / sugar, flour, and hydrogenated oils will tend to rot in the stomach, thus producing unwanted breath and body odor.

5. Low-carbohydrate
Reduction in carbohydrates causes excessive protein intake. It can help burn fat in the body. However, this process releases ketones into your bloodstream that makes your sweat smell bad.

To prevent body odor, there are several ways you can do, such as:
  • Drink lots of water.
  • Consumption foods that contain fiber and low choline fruits (apples, strawberries, oranges, grapes, tomatoes, pineapple, banana and watermelon).
