Mistakes in Skin Care (2)

Posted by Hendra Wibowo on Friday, June 15, 2012

mistakes in skin care
Yesterday I have discussed five habits that may damage the skin. Now I will add 4 more habits that we often do unconsciously that can damage the skin beauty.

1. Wash your face first rather than to wash the hair
As mentioned in previous posts, the remnants of dirt and hair moisturizer in the shampoo will pass through the neck, back, face as well, and can close the pores of the skin in this section. Therefore, to avoid double work, you should wash your hair first, then wash your face. With this, the remaining dirt will not stick in your face.

2. Like to touch the skin
Touching the face with dirty hands should be avoided. If you currently have acne, then certainly, the dirt on the hands will actually make acne more inflamed. So stop touching your face with dirty hands!

3. Lazy to clean your face before bed
When we sleep, the skin is working hard to suck the nutrients included in the surface. If you do not clean your face before bed, then the dirt will also be absorbed by the skin. As a result the skin looks dull and unhealthy.

4. Less sleep
As explained above, sleep is the time for the skin to regenerate the cells and absorb the nutrients. If you sleep less, then automatically the skin time to repair performance would be reduced as well.

incorrect wearing face soap

Drank less not only affect overall health. Are visible, someone who is dehydrated can also be seen from the skin. The skin will be dull and dry, so that its beauty is lost. Not only that, various bacteria and viruses are also easier to attack the dry skin. So keep yourself to always drink enough to prevent dehydration.

2. Wash face with the wrong soap
Although both foaming, but the face soap has a very different content than the body soap. Using body soap to wash your face will make your skin becomes dry and rough.

3. Wrong in choosing a moisturizer
Moisturizer is very important to keep your skin stay healthy, but you should choose a moisturizer that suits with your skin type.

4. Not use sunscreen
Sunscreen is a must for skin nutrition. Leaving skin exposed to sunlight without any protection will be reduced to its beauty. In addition can cause sunburn and the appearance of black spots, it also can lead to skin cancer.

5. Not wash the back of the body after shampooing
When washing your hair after shampooing, the rest of moisturizer on the shampoo will go down through the back of the neck and back. If you don't rinse thoroughly, then the rest of moisturizer will cover the pores of the skin and often cause acne. So don't forget to always wash the back of the body after shampooing.

Products Make Up For Sensitive Skin (2)

Posted by Hendra Wibowo on Tuesday, June 12, 2012

the terms that used in beauty products
For those of you who have sensitive skin it should be more careful in choosing beauty products. Allergic reactions due to wrong choice of beauty products can damage your skin. Many terms are used in beauty products on the market. All you need to consider include :

Hypoallergenic
For those of you who often having allergy symptoms such as itching, redness, burning sensation on the skin, or other allergic reactions, this label should be noted. The product will be labeled hypoallergenic if it passes the test to various types of skin allergies. Each of the materials to be used will be tested to see an allergic reaction. The best materials are used to reduce allergic skin reactions.

Although it is difficult to prevent all types of skin allergies, but the majority of common allergic complaints have been tried on this product. There is no product that really guarantee there will be no allergic reaction, but at least those of you who have sensitive skin can choose a product with this label to reduce the risk of skin irritation.

Oil-free & Mineral Oil
Products labeled "oil free" contain oil (lanolin) very little or none at all. For oily skin that are vulnerable to acne, use of these products can reduce the risk of acne. But for dry skin, never use beauty products labeled oil-free.

Mineral oil that often written in the make-up material is a light oil-based petroleum. Commonly used in lip moisturizer products. Excessive use of products that contain mineral oil can disrupt the body's natural moisture and less good for sensitive skin.

No similar effect on the cosmetic to different people. Before deciding to use a product for the long term you should do a little experiment first. Visit the make-up store and apply a little product that you select in your hands. Wait 24 hours to see the reaction. If there is a reaction to irritation or skin disorder, you should consult to dermatologist to choose the right product for you.

Products Make Up For Sensitive Skin (1)

beauty products for sensitive skin
Naturally sensitive skin requires special attention. Choosing the wrong beauty products can be fatal such as skin irritation, acne or other skin disorders.

There are many terms in the make-up products on the market. Starting from hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, until the term non-comedogenic. Which one is right for sensitive skin?

Fragrance-free & Unscented
Some products for sensitive skin is also often display a label "fragrance-free". While the product "unscented" means without scent. Well be careful to distinguish between them. "Fragrance-free" means containing no artificial fragrance, while the "unscented" may be using materials that eliminate the smell of perfumes or fragrances. So the "unscented" are not necessarily free of perfumes or fragrances.

Why is this important? Some skins have allergic reactions to artificial fragrances contained in beauty products. Not just make-up, products such as shampoo, soap, and moisturizers also often contain perfumes or fragrances.

Artificial fragrance has a different reaction in each person. Allergies, such as itching, redness on the skin, or other allergic disorders are common allergic reactions to artificial fragrances. Artificial fragrances are the five major causes of allergies in the world. Besides having adverse effects on sensitive skin, in certain people, artificial fragrances can also disturb the brain and nervous system. Dizziness or shortness of breath is one of the symptoms that arise due to this substance.

Non-comedogenic
Especially for the skin prone to comedones, these products should be considered. Products with this label means, has been tested on oily skin, which is more prone to comedones. Comedones can appear due to clogged pores of the skin by using make-up. Generally more common in oily skin.
The product is claimed to be low-risk causes comedones, blackhead or whitehead. However, the effects of these products on each skin is different. For very oily skin, you can still experience the onset of comedones due to the use of make-up that labeled non-comedogenic. If your skin is considered very oily skin, you should first test the product on your skin before deciding to buy it.

Sauna Benefits for Skin Health - Sauna facilities which usually available at the spa or fitness center proved very beneficial for skin health. Relaxation in the room with steam is believed to make skin brighter.

Here are some benefits of sauna for skin health :

According to Dr. Lawrence Wilson, a researcher and author of books on the benefits of sauna, collagen production increases when someone does a sauna. Increased collagen production is a good thing, because it can get rid of dead skin cells and trigger the growth of new skin cells healthier.

Increase blood flow
When doing the sauna, your heart rate can be increased up to 50 percent. Due to this increase in heart rate, blood flow increased by 30-50 percent. The smooth flow of blood makes the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the skin becomes more and more. As a result, the skin will look healthier and fresh flush.

Detoxification
At least 30 percent of toxins in the body can be removed through the sweat via the skin. When doing the sauna, steam causes more sweat out. When the pores open and sweat out of the body, the toxins that are stored under the skin also carried out. It takes at least two minutes in sauna room before the body starts to heat up. Once the body begins to heat up and sweat, that's where the detoxification process begins.

Help fight infection
According to researchers from the Eberhard Karls-University in Germany, sweat contains a protein called dermcidin that can help to ward off bacteria. Sweating during sauna can make this protein as a shield to protect the skin. Some types of bacteria can be resisted by this protein.

Tips
  1. When using the sauna at a public place you should use a towel as a cushion to avoid contamination from previous users.
  2. For pregnant women, people with heart disease, high blood pressure, and people with a certain skin problems should consult a health care professional before using a sauna. According to The Journal of the American Medical Association, using the sauna in the early trimester of pregnancy may increase the risk of neural tube defects, it can harm the fetus.
